One Year Old Party!!

K celebrated her first birthday this past weekend. Her party was held at the clubhouse at South City Lights. It was an owl and year one themed party.

Many of her friends attended the party like James and Emma.

Ashley, Mason, Tristan, Court, Diego and Sebastian also came. Of course Mommy had to get a shot with the kiddies, but her attempts of all the children looking at the camera were unsuccessful.

But Mommy gets a kick of how hard the parents try to get their kids to sit down to take a picture. The end result is priceless.

K met Baby Ava who is only 7 weeks old. Other kids that came that were not pictured are Noah, Miles and Ethan S. Now that's a whole lot of kids in one room!

Here's a picture of Ava's brothers and parents and Auntie Stef and Raydon too.

K is thinking- WOW this big cake and candle for me!

She even got her own smash cake. She didn't quite know what to do with it. Mommy had to help her get her hands dirty.

K didn't appreciate her hands being messy though and wanted the frosting off. She didn't like the taste of cake either. Mommy fed her a bite and she spit it right back out!

Take a peek at her smashing her cake...

Time to pose for a family shot

One with just Daddy...

K would like to thank everyone for helping her celebrate and especially for everyone's generosity with gifts of cute clothes, red envelopes and toys! She also would like to give a special thanks to Po Po, Gong Gong and grandma and grandpa for helping to set up her party and clean up as well! Mommy and Daddy can't believe K is one years old! How fast their little baby girl has grown. In one year she has learned to walk, has 4 teeth and can say hi, bye, Uh Oh, Da Da and Ma Ma. We are excited to see what milestones are in store next!

Early Birthday Gift

K won't officially turn one until next Monday, but Po Po and Gong Gong brought over her b-day gift this weekend.

She not only sat on the chair but decided to climb up and stand tall.

She is waving and saying hi to Daddy. If you look closely, you can see her two front teeth that came in recently.

While sitting in her chair, K is in deep thought of what toy to play with next.

Thanks again Po Po and Gong Gong! K will sit on her chair for many more years to come! She loves it already!

Noodle Kind Of Weekend

Last weekend, K tasted noodles for the first time. She had chow mein at Caleb's 2nd birthday at Hokkoido Buffet where K had her red egg ginger party.

We tried to get a picture of the birthday boy, but he was having too much fun at his party and wanted to play instead. He's the little guy in the background.

Another noodle she tried was egg noddles.

She loved it. The next bite she opened wide.

K: Give me more! Faster Mommy! Faster Mommy!

K saw her friends over the weekend too. She met Baby Mason for the first time. Mason was a really good boy. He slept most of the time while the adults had dinner.

The girls were in their PJs ready for bed. Court gave K a good night kiss.

For fun, Daddy has been pushing K in the laundry basket. She giggles everytime.

Now that K is able to walk, Mommy loves to hold her hand!

First Easter

For Easter we celebrated at Auntie Diane's house. She cooked delicious prime rib. Before lunch cousin Ethan decided to give K a ride on his shoulders.

Great grandma took a pic with her grandchild, Ashley and great grandchild, K. It turns out Ashley is K's auntie even though K is older than her 5 months! Don't the two girls look the same size.

K experienced her first Easter egg hunt at daycare. Lolita said K enjoyed banging the plastic eggs together and walking around on the grass in the backyard. Mommy hid eggs at home too. K is pretty excited when she finds an egg.

Mommy bought these bunny ears at Target for $1 and thought it would be cute for K to wear them. K begs to differ.

She was a good sport and wore them long enough for Mommy to take a picture.

Next year K wants to hide the eggs and invites everyone to come over and find them.

11 Months Old

We are late taking and posting pictures of K's 11 month shots. Mommy can't believe she will be 1 year old at the end of the month!!  For K's 11 month shots daddy decided to take some outdoor photos now that she can stand and walk.

Here's the traditional shot with Mr. Bear. K is now a whole head taller than the bear.

Here are some examples of what K likes to do in her spare time. She opens cupboards and plays with tupperrware.

She gets a kick out of pushing a box.

She is proud of herself for being able to slide down from the couch.

Family Time

K has been spending time with various members of her family. Last weekend Po Po watched K while Mommy & Daddy went to Auntie Iris and Uncle Greg's wedding. Can you tell how much fun they are having together? Po Po made K some pumpkin rice and some jook which she loved!

K also also met Mommy's godmother, Auntie Nancy. Auntie lives in Hong Kong and was at the hospital when K was born and has not seen her ever since.  She said K is a very friendly and smiley baby!

On Tuesday, we went to dinner at Auntie Becky's house. She bought a beautiful new home in Millbrae and invited us over for dinner. She cooked lamb chops, salmon and pasta. K played with her second cousins, Madison (left) and Lauren (middle). K loved sitting on their elmo chair and gave him kisses.

Here's Auntie Elisa and Auntie Becky is the one with the hat.

K's new fascination is playing with dogs. She was following Auntie Becky's dog, Patches around the house and tried to pet him. Daddy says maybe one day we should get a dog for K. Mommy says we'll see maybe one day way in the future.

Daddy Duty

Daddy was a single parent the beginning of the week.  Mommy went to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania for a conference. Mommy missed K a lot but we Facetimed. The iPad was propped on the couch and Daddy said K would try to go behind the couch to see where Mommy was.

Daddy said being a single parent is hard work and admires people who can do it! Mommy is proud of Daddy for bathing, feeding and changing K. They had fun together too and even went to Uncle Larry's restaurant to hang out with her aunties and uncles and her friends, Courtney and Mason.

While Mommy was gone, K's top tooth started to pop out. Here's a picture of her bottom teeth. K likes to use her two front to bite down and break in half Cheerios or puffs. She looks like a chipmunk when she does it.

With teeth comes brushing. K tends to bite on the brush and suck on the toothpaste.

And K has been getting better at walking. What a cookie can do to entice her....

She's getting much faster and a little more steady

Mommy hopes she doesn't have to travel again anytime soon and is glad to be home!
