Double the Fun-Playdates

Mommy celebrated the upcoming arrival of Auntie Ali's baby girl with afternoon tea in the city.

There were many delicious desserts and sandwiches to try. Favorites amongst the girls was the curried egg and arugula sandwich and crumpets with brandy butter!

While Mommy was enjoying tea, K and Daddy met Aiden at the Academy of Sciences.

There were reindeers on display just in time for Christmas.

After the academy was dinner for Uncle Manchuek's birthday. Auntie Diane had baked cookies and asked K and Ashley to help decorate them.

The following day was another fun play date. This time at the SF Zoo with Tristan, Courtney and Emi. The zoo built a new playground. K loved going down the Artic slide with Daddy.

The kiddies watched a grizzly bear walk by. It's been fun watching these 3 grow up together. They now can have full on conversations with each other!

All aboard! The group took a ride on the train.

Of course a trip to the zoo wouldn't be complete without going on the merry-go round.

K can't wait to have another play date with her friends!

At the zoo, K hit a milestone and went potty in the public restroom! Mommy told her Tristan was going to go potty in the restroom and asked if she wanted to go and surprisingly K agreed. Daddy took her and lined the toilet with a seat cover. K asked, " Do we need that?" And then went!  After her nap, K got to pick a toy at Toys R Us since Mommy had to buy Christmas gifts. She selected a guitar.

She was rocking out to her own lyrics of Jingle Bells.

First Time Bart Rider

K has been watching the episode of Curious George Goes to the Zoo. It talks about George taking the subway to go to the zoo. Daddy thought it would be fun for K to ride Bart since she talks a lot about Curious going on the subway. The first thing K did when she got on the Bart was people watch!

She took the Bart to see the tree in Union Square. Along the way she saw many interesting things like a person dressed up as a gorilla playing the guitar, a man painted all grey who had big wings and a Santa ringing a bell asking for donations.

Last weekend, K visited James and Luke. She loved Uncle Dan and thought he was so much fun!

Since Uncle Dan works for Google- K got to try on their new product.

K and Ashley have become the best of friends. Both girls use to fight over toys but now are getting better at sharing. Have you noticed K always wears pink? She never wants to wear any other color despite all the other clothes she has.

Mommy had a work party on Thursday so Daddy and K spent some quality time together. They started out with dinner.

And had a special treat of frozen yogurt for dessert.

Many Thanks!

K is thankful to be surrounded by so many family and friends. Auntie Shirley and Uncle Rob hosted their annual Thanksgiving lunch. K loves Auntie Shirley's turkey and mash potatoes!

Daddy's side of the family came over for Thanksgiving dinner. The boys must have gotten the memo to wear plaid.

K and Aiden showed some cousinly love.

The next day Mommy's side of the family came over for dinner. Mommy and Daddy decided to host this year, but it turned out everyone brought all the food and even cleaned up afterwards too. Auntie Kristine brought over a diestel turkey that was already brined which turned out so moist and juicy!

The kiddies posed for a picture. Christian was missing since he had a basketball game.

They decided to do a silly pose next.

Auntie Kristine also brought over Just Dance Party 2014 for the Wii. Everyone had a great time playing especially K.

K really loved to show off her dance moves. Maybe Mommy should sign her up for a hip hop class.

Over the weekend, K walked around the Ferry Building and had lunch at Gott Roadside. She enjoyed some ice-cream with Daddy for dessert.

Tristan turned 3! Auntie Lauren surprised the guests with a donut cake. How unique!

Happy Birthday T! Thanks for inviting us to your party.

Catching Up

The best part of winter is all the leaves falling on the ground for K to step on and hear the crunch. Excuse the blurriness of the video!

It's fun to pick up the leaves too.

At the farmer's market, K selected the cherry tomatoes she wanted to put in the bag. When it came time to pay the nice lady gave her the tomatoes for free and said enjoy them!

At school K loves building legos. She was trying to build the structure to become as tall as her.

Miles came over and gave K a helping hand.

Before leaving school each night, K wants to go down the slide. Sometimes she can convince Daddy to go down the slide with her.

K visited Aiden's new home. There were so many new toys to play with.

Grandma and her two grandkids.

A couple celebrations took place in the last couple of weeks. One was Luke's baptism. He didn't even cry at all when the holy water was poured over his head.

Another big celebration was Adam's 1st b-day. Auntie Mai threw a monkey themed birthday party for him. Adam was not too fond of cake, but that's okay. He was so cute with his bow tie.

Before A's party, K went to the Academy of Science and was working hard at the craft table with Daddy making a moose.

Afternoon in Napa

Last weekend K celebrated Uncle Derek's birthday with brunch at Brix in Napa.

Yes readers- Mommy's tummy is getting really big. She is in her last trimester!

The menu had a great variety to pick from. Something for everyone. K loved the pizza and brioche french toast. Daddy and Po Po ate plates of raw oysters!

Outside of the Brix there was a garden where the restaurant grew many of their own organic vegetables they serve.

Aunt Gabby showed K and explained all the different vegetables. Aunt Gabby is so great with kids. She's a preschool teacher.

Aunt Gabby also taught K how to climb a tree. K thought it was the funniest thing ever and pretended she was a monkey.

Aside from climbing a tree, K wants to climb on Daddy when she is at home.

A new development happening this month is K is potty trained at home and at school. She wears big girls underwear all day at school and when she gets home. She still wears a diaper at night. Although on weekends she wears diapers when she is out since she has not gone in a public restroom yet and is only used to sitting on her potty seat that goes over the toilet. She will have to take it one step at a time. One downside so far is that she wakes up in the middle of the night asking to have her diaper changed. Teacher C says that's common amongst kids who are first learning potty training. Can't wait until that phase is over with!

Happy 89th Tao-Po!

Last weekend we celebrated great grandma's (Tao-Po) 89th birthday! She looks pretty amazing for her age. She is a really active lady. She exercises with her friends every morning, takes the Bart out to SF by herself to buy groceries and always cooking up feasts for her family. During the celebration, K wanted to help put the candles on the cake.

Tao-Po was so nice to let the kids blow out her the candles.

K earned her first sticker at swimming class for proper breathing control. She was able to hold her breath under water while paddling and kicking to Teacher Carolina.

Cousin Aiden and family are moving to the South Bay. Daddy helped pack things into the truck. K wanted to be where all the excitement was and asked to be in the truck as well.

It's been cold out lately, so K has been doing activities at home to keep entertained. She painted the other day. She has OCD. She hates when paint gets on her fingers and will need to wipe it off immediately.

K is still excited about her dolls. When she comes up from school, she will say to the doll "I know you missed me, but I am home now."

When it's story time she will sit her doll up and make sure her doll has a blankie.

Speaking of story time, K loves to read books. Instead of Mommy reading to her, she wants to read to Mommy. Here's one example of her reading Brown Bear Brown Bear.

And to finally to end here's a video of K putting lotion. This girl is already into her looks!
