Where's The Eggs?

Courtney invited K over for an Easter Egg Hunt.

Auntie Ali and Mommy hid the eggs in pretty obvious places within a toddler's reach.

Court was really good at finding eggs and had big smiles every time she found one.

The girls took their time finding the eggs. K got distracted and wanted to jump on the trampoline instead. At the end she opened her eggs and found cheerios, stickers, clips, cheddar bunnies as treats.

After the hunt the girls went out to dinner outside a Japanese market. They walked around the market hand in hand.

Court was so sweet to give her buddy a big hug when it was time to say good-bye.

The other day at Barnes and Nobles, K flipped the pages of various books.

She pretended to read like one of her teachers during circle time at school.

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!

1,2,3...

Mommy captured a video of K counting. At the beginning of the clip she says "where are you" and then starts counting again from number 8.

Mommy's type of work requires her to travel various times throughout the year. Even though she is hundreds of miles away, she is thankful for Facetime. During this session K was eating dinner. She was practicing using chopsticks.

On her return, Mommy came home to this nice welcome back sign.

Teacher Marirose downloaded new pictures of K's activities at school. For the month of March the kids planted seeds.

K learned about different occupations such as a police man.

She also learned about the different types of creatures in the ocean like a dolphin

 And an octopus too!

She used her gross motor skills to stack bottles high. What a life of a toddler! So much fun everyday!

Just Another Weekend

Po Po and Gung Gung returned from their trip to Asia. They went to Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and Vietnam. They brought back a traditional Vietnamese dress for K. When K saw it she wanted to put it on right away.

Mommy went to visit baby Luke at the hospital. He slept the whole time when he was held.

Baby Luke up close.

Kids were not allowed at the hospital, so K stayed at Po Po's house. Uncle Derek came to see K. He is going camping this weekend and was testing out his new tent. K had fun going in and out of it.

K started to feel under the weather on Sunday. She averages getting sick every 3 weeks it seems like. Mommy loves her school, but there are so many germs there especially with 400 kids present. K kept complaining "eyes hurt." The pediatrician said nothing was physically wrong with her eyes, but maybe her fever and cold was causing her to get a headache.  K got to climb in Mommy and Daddy's bed to watch Sesame Street to make her feel better.

Even when she was sick, she had to wear her sunglasses. She was sporting a new Hello Kitty pair. Did you notice the sock on her hand?  K thinks she is MJ.

K's hair is long enough to put in a ponytail Her bangs are getting long too. She says "hair poke eyes, clip please." So finally she won't rip the clips out of her hair.

What's Your Name?

A short clip of K on the go while changing her baby's diaper (using her diapers) and saying Mommy's and Daddy's name as well as her own.

She is talking more and more these days. She can count from 1-10 and say the ABC's up to the letter G.  Mommy will have to try to catch a video next time. Her new phrases this week are  "I don't like this!" "This is yucky!" and "I don't want to!" I'm sure music to every parents ears!

Mommy Katelyn

K is still loving her dolls. She has quite the imagination when she plays with them. She takes the pillows from the couch and then lays blankets on top of the dolls.

She also likes to sing to them and pat them to sleep.

Her dolls likes to drink milk and eat pizza too!

On Saturday Mommy went to Auntie Lilian's baby shower. She is having another boy.

Check out her cake. Can you see the imprint of the foot?

Later that day Uncle Derek and Auntie Gabby came to visit. Auntie Gabby bought K some paints.

K's favorite color to use was red. Daddy suggested we buy an easel, so K doesn't have to sit on the entryway.

Uncle Derek says K's creation is an abstract tree. What do you think?

K loves her uncle! She was sad when he had to go home. We'll see him again soon!

Ava's Superhero Party

In honor of baby Ava's 1st birthday, Auntie Jenn and Uncle Ryan threw her a super hero themed birthday party. Ava had a special cape made just for her!

At the party a lady came to make balloons. K asked for an Elmo. The balloon lady did a pretty good job!

Auntie Jenn is super creative when it comes to party planning. She made stickers like this for the guests to wear. If anyone needs help with parties, they should hire her! Stay tuned for her party planning blog!

Another cute and creative idea at the party was a home made photo booth! Ava is in the pic too. K is holding a cut out of Ava with her mask on.

K and Ava got sight of a plate of food. Don't they both look so mischievous?  For sure K does!

On Sunday Auntie Mariam and Abby came for a play date. They colored, did puzzles and had pizza for lunch.

Some ducks showed up on the front lawn and the girls had so much fun chasing them. Hope the ducks weren't too scared of the girls.

Abby was like a big sister to K. K would copy everything Abby did. Abby gave K a great big hug when it was time to say good-bye.

It was such a gorgeous day out, K took a walk around the lagoon. She stopped off for a break to give Daddy a hug.

Sunday we celebrated grandpa's 73rd birthday. He doesn't even look like he's in his 70's!

K helped blow out candles once again. She is becoming a pro with all the many celebrations in the last month.

No Jacket!

K is very strong willed. When she doesn't want to do something she puts up a huge protest! For example putting on her jacket. She hates wearing her jacket anywhere shes goes even if it's 40 degrees outside. She says "its hot" "no jacket!" This is how Mommy found K when she picked her up from school today. One can only laugh!

This was the only way the teachers could have her keep it on. Turning it inside out. K is too smart for her own good. She can unzip and unsnap the jacket on her own.  She's one bossy kid too! When she doesn't wear her jacket, she doesn't want anyone else to wear one either. She tells her teachers to take off their jacket and tries to take it off for them!

Favorite phrase of the week "NOT YET!"
When it's time to go home, K says not yet. When it's time to get out of the shower the reply is not yet.  When it's time to change her diaper, she screams not yet!
