Fun with Uncles

Over the weekend, K saw a few of her uncles. Saturday Uncle Dan came over. He picked K up in the middle of eating her hummus and crackers. K's hair is definitely growing longer. Mommy thinks it is looking more and more like a mullet.

K sat in the driver's seat in Uncle Dan's car. Daddy said she will have to wait 15 more years until she can drive!

Uncle Richard came to hang out and brought Vietnamese sandwiches. Yum!

Sunday morning was such a nice day, so K walked to the nearby park by her house. She picked up cedar chips and put them on the slide. Sorry to the next kid going down the slide.

There's actually 2 parks close to K's house. At the second park she went down the slide with Daddy's help.

After K's nap, she visited Uncle Justin and Auntie Keo. They purchased a new home and invited us over for lunch. And guess what was in their background? How cool is that! Uncle Justin was able to negotiate with the previous owners to leave the play structure behind.

K had so much fun on the swing.

Uncle Justin has a huge backyard, so K was able to enjoy a nice lunch outside. They have big redwood trees in their backyard, so it was nice to have some shade.

Lunch was delicious! K had ribs that had been marinating for 10 days, homemade cornbread and potato salad. Thanks for having us over Uncle Justin and Auntie Keo!

When K got home, her neighborhood friends rushed over and wanted to play with her. K is the youngest on the block, so the big girls are always trying to take care of her.  She took a ride in her car while being pushed by her friends. Daddy said it looks like K has an entourage. One neighbor says looks like she is like a president saying hi to her fans.

Well it took close to a month but K is finally drinking milk out of a cup other than a bottle.  Like Mommy said it takes patience with K. She will also drink milk from an open face cup at school and sometimes a straw thermos at home, but loves the Nuk cup that teacher Steph recommended.

At school teacher Steph says K loves to eat the food on the menu. The food is served family style. K has learned to scoop out her portion and share the rest with her friends. Good manners are taught as well. She knows to push in her chair when she is finished eating.
